Why does each guess only show one number?
That is the twist. Telling you how many letters are in the right place and how many are in the word but wrong place would let you split the guess into greens and yellows. Totle hands you one number — twice the greens plus the yellows — and asks you to deduce the split. One score of 4, for example, could be two right-place letters, or one right-place plus two in-word, or four in-word and none in place.
